Awareness training for Key staff
Why do I need awareness training?
- The British Dyslexia Association state that 10% of the workforce is dyslexic. That means 10% of your employees, customers, suppliers, collegues, associates, and employers are dyslexic.
- Under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, dyslexia is classed as a disability. Employers need to know how they can adjust current practices to support dyslexic individuals and ensure they are compliant with the DDA.
- Training is appropriate for all staff as it will help to meet the needs of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995/2004.
- Training will improve understanding of dyslexia and issues around it.
- Courses cover "reasonable adjustments" and how these can be implimented, thereby improving your organisation's requirememnts of the DDA.
